Vans is an American brand producing skateboarding shoes and skateboarding apparel. The company was established in 1966 by brothers Paul Van Doren, James Van Doren, and Gordon C. Lee. Vans is based in Santa Ana, California, and owned by VF Corporation.

The Vans brand sponsors various festivals, surf, BMX snowboarding, and motocross competitions. One of them is the US Open of Surfing, the biggest surf competition in the world. Vans Team recently acquired a skateboarding legend, Tony Hawk to strengthen the brand and improve its operations.
