Aberdeen’s rap has gone under the radar until now, because people weren’t ready to accept a rapper from so far afield with a strong accent. Ransom is a rapper from Aberdeen, one of the first Scottish rappers that believes people is ready to hear something fresh now. His priority is to sound authentic despite having a Scottish accent. Scottish style is a thing now, and there are already several talented Scottish rappers that would do well internationally within this style. Ransom’s plan is to help develop the scene in Scotland and start bringing people through the Scottish rap.
